The Starkville Barber and Hair Design College opened September 1, 2006, by Robbie Sanders.
With well qualified educators, it is equipped with modern facilities covering approximately 3,000 square feet. The school
has modern, advanced teaching equipment and texts are available to provide our students with the necessary means to become
professional Hairstylists and Barbers.
At the Starkville Barber and Hair Design College, we invite prospective students to come in and inspect our facilities.

Starkville Barber and Hair Design College is licensed by the Mississippi State Board of Barber Examiners. The above licensing
are available upon request for student reviews.
- Admission Requirements and Procedures
Starkville Barber and Hair Design College admits, as a regular student, individuals who are at least 16 years of age and
have a high school diploma or evidence of a G. E. D.
- Tuition and Registration Fees
Information on the cost of attending Starkville Barber and Hair Design College is housed in our office. A member of the
school staff will be happy to give you this information.
The objective of our basic barbering and hairstyling course is to prepare students for the barbering and hairstyling profession.
We utilize both classroom instruction and supervised practical training. Upon completion of this course, students must pass
an examination as required by the Mississippi State Board of Examiners of Barbers. They will then be qualified to work as
barber-stylists.

Eleven months at 128 hours per month is the required 1500 hours. The State Board of Examiners advises that Barber Schools
spend the first 350 hours on Barbering ONLY and the other 1150 hours on Barbering and Hairstyling.
A daily progress record is maintained and recorded commulative weekly. Grades are furnished for each student.
Grades below 75% is a failing grade. Numerical system is used.
Students must exhibit excellent conduct at all times during class. Dismissal for poor conduct is at the discretion of the
Director.
The school is located on Highway 12 in Starkville containing 3,000 square feet. Adequate equipment, restroom, dining, parking,
and classroom facilities are present.
Enrollment is open and only dependent upon vacancies in class.
